Windchimes

Today I'm picturing an outdoor wedding reception, at least halfway covered with a slatted wooden structure, and suspended from beams, at all different intervals, in all different simple and elegant shapes and sizes, windchimes blowing and twinkling and chiming and adding to the emotion of the moment....

Now I just wonder - pscyhologically - why windchimes today?

The gorgeous azul and living green with the splashes of real red and sunshine yellow....What a gorgeous location. I love the sailboat in the background, and the little touches of the umbrella and chairs...This is true inspiration for a classic event. Monet really captures the peace of a romantic sunny family moment.

Pottery

I tend to get a little antsy if I don't have a creative project as an outlet (hence this blog!), and hence, my next journey - Pottery! Lighthouse Arts in Tequesta, Florida, has a Wednesday night pottery class from 6 - 9 p.m. that I'm interested in...Quite pricey and QUITE a task for someone with terrible hand-eye coordination, but I'm going to go for it!

In the interim, my fave piece? The sexpot, by JMNPottery on Etsy. This is pure genious.

Birds of a feather

Wandering through Etsy on my lunch break and found the cutest spring wedding cake topper by Wedding Collectibles. I love how the wood is integrated into the cake - It brings an organic, earthy feel to the cake, in direct contrast with the highly intricate cake design underneath.
